This article is about the demonstration in Ferguson, Missouri --after Micheal Brown's death-- where local police violated the people's constitutional rights. Local police used force against demonstrators, there was racial profiling, and the people were stripped from their freedom of speech and assembly. The police persistently violated the First Amendment rights of both the protesters and the press. Protesters were given curfews, many of them were arrested, and there was an attempted new blackout. Ferguson police also arrested and incarcerated many reporters and journalists which is definitely unlawful.

This political cartoon shows how both the freedom of the press, the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition to the government for a redress of grievances are being violated. The Ferguson police are threatening the people on strike, and the news reporters.
